I’m just wondering for those of you who are fitness experts or trainers, what are some great workout routines for men? How many days a week should I workout, and what exercises do you do each day? I would like to shred my body fat and tone up muscle. I’m 16. Please help. Thanks!

you have to realize it will take quite a while to get what you desire. im a junior in high school, im no professional trainer at all, but i do have a ton of exercise experience. assuming you are starting at square one, there is a very important thing to remember…you must take it easy at first. you cannot kill yourself and decide the hell with it after two days, ok? I’d run 2 days the first week. I dont know how good of shape you are in, but assuming pretty bad shape, try to run for twenty minutes. each week, add another day until you are running at least 5 if not 6 days a week. also up the time or mileage (however you decide to go) each week. you will be sore at first, do not let this discourage you, this is only temporary pain, and besides that its the best pain you’ll ever feel, the pain of hard work. i actually miss getting it now haha. in addition to running, you will need to do some weight and core training each week to get the muscle you want. just as in running start nice and easy. DO NOT go for the big weights right off the bat. you could hurt yourself and have to wait an extended period of time before trying again. BE SURE to stretch before you lift. Start off lifting three to four days a week and work up to five every week giving yourself breaks in every few days for your muscles to build up. i would not recommend any supplements, because not only can they harm you, but you can tell everyone honestly im all natural. Mix up your weight lifting. do upper body one day and legs the next day. I wont go into depth on weights because their pretty self explanatory. go to a gym and watch other people to figure out new exercises or even go with a buddy and work out together (i recommend!) Try to do core everyday. there are many good core exercises you can do at home when you wake up or before bed or whenever you feel like working out. do planks, side planks, crunches with you legs raised, work with medicine balls, etc. you can find many great workout routines online by google searching things like: weight lifting routines, core exercises, etc. Remember in order to get the body you want you have to eat right too. just because your running doesnt mean you can consume 10000 calories a day. try to get it around 2000. low fat, high protein to build the muscle. eat 4-5 eggs every morning and eat a lot of meat. my favorite is chicken because of the extreme low fat content. fish is also good to eat. just remember…be smart and dont over do it. and remember do not get frustrated if you dont see results, depending on your size it may take around 6 months to start seeing it. when i first started i was pretty lean already, had just a bit of fat, but in a matter of three months, my arms were very toned, my pecs were sticking out, and my six pack was great. its been a couple years now and i am very ripped. so have fun and get some ladies!

People always say change workout routine but if you do the same workout routine and you go over limit will you gain results?

Well it depends on what you mean by over the limit. If you mean increasing the weight resistance your using, then yes you will get results. If your doing the same exercises all the time, you can still get results as long as your doing more reps (or again upping the weights). One thing that can never happen is you will see negative results. Any exercise will burn calories, help your heart health, and AT LEAST maintain strength and endurance (which can be considered results despite plateau).

Still, it’s not recommended that you keep doing the same exercises all the time for a few reasons. First and foremost, you will probably be neglecting some other muscles that can be exercised with other movements. Second, you will probably become bored if it’s a repetitive routine. Third, goes hand in hand with the second – muscular plateau, which happens when your body is too well adapted to your routine.

It’s fine to use the same routine for about a month if you’re working out a lot, but change it after that month a little bit. Then the month after that, you may go back to the first routine or just make a new one. Yes, changing your routine regularly will maximize results, but keeping the same one is okay for a while.

To lose body fat (weight) , check out the 12 day Fat X Program. I’ve been doing it since March and it works really well. The workout routines are about 30-35 minutes each.
