    There is …

    @faheeta
    There is momentum in anything that moves. If your using too much momentum than your probably training very set alight. Using moderately heavy weights will make it harder to use momentum even if you were to try. Control the consequence on the way day and accelerate (explode) on the contraction

  9. TeenyTiny945 Says:

    Amen! Its …
    Amen! Its frustrating trying to talk to an uninformed person at the gym who thinks their right. In order to stimulate quick twitch muscle fibers there has to be some kind of explosive muscle contraction. Quick twitch muscle fibers have more of a response to muscle growth when stimulated. Slow twitch muscle fibers are stimulated owing to endurance type training and wont have much of a influence on the growth of the muscle. Ie: Michael Johnson (Olympic Jogger) vs Neil Armstrong (Bicyclist)

    What in this area …
    What in this area contraction. If I’m training with heavy weights (to isolate the muscle) then I don’t want to go “too quick” because I want that contraction – that tight feeling that comes with getting “the pump”. I know its hard to describe with just words. But bottom line – if Im using a heavier consequence to work the muscle intensely Im going for the “pump” – at a moderate speed. What do you say?

    I lift slowly. I’m always worried of getting in the habit of using my momentum when lifting instead of my muscles.

    steve is right like usual. The people trying to argue with him make me lol.
    If you want to work on form do it on your warm up up set.
    If you want to do slow reps thats fantastic too, just dont expect to get much larger and stronger because you’re going into the lactate system which builds slow twitch fibres

  18. TheMadStrangler Says:

    I cultured that the …
    I cultured that the positive motion is quicker than the eccentric motion from that bodybuilding websites. On that website, they take in this area 2 seconds to do the eccentric part of the passage.

  19. Unknownz00 Says:

    @BodyPerformanceTV …
    @BodyPerformanceTV I hope you really didnt answer to me;Okay let me give reasons for why the Speed of the exercise is key to everything;A “Excellent” Speed makes the exercise safer. Take Biceps Curls for example! If you use strict form You will only Use Biceps but if you swing and do jerky motions that comes with Explosive training if not done right ( Newcommers should always stick to basics ) you might use erector spine and make a compression of the intervertebra art. and you might strain Art. Cubiti ill-treat

    @Unknownz00 …
    @Unknownz00 That’s not right.

  21. Unknownz00 Says:

    @ chaaarge

    Strict …
    @ chaaarge

    Strict form is vital, people reckon that the you’re only working out you’re muscle at the concentric phase if the exercise but if you keep a strict form on the eccentric which is in this area 20% stronger then the concentric phase; you will workout and break down the muscle more then if you would do some jerky motion, I’m just saying…

  22. Chaaarge Says:

    if you talk to pro …
    if you talk to pro bodybuilders, they will tell you that you should lift explosively and use excellent form. But there is no need to lift slowly and being extremely strict, because it also takes away your focus and you’re not gonna be working out as hard. check out any Mr olympia workout or any strongman workout. their for sucks in many cases, but they sure as are passionate and huge

    It would be real cool and helpfull if we could see you do a full weeks work out. watching you work in some video would be fantastic. PLEASE AND THANKS.

  24. Anglefan12 Says:

    It’s hard for me to …
    It’s hard for me to be explosive with heavier weights. Plus, say I’m benching 220 (I’m 205), if I do explosive reps, even if it’s not killing me to do it quick, don’t I risk tearing something?

  25. KingofStarfox Says:

    I’ve got to agree with you there, I’ve seen huge guys with hugely terrible form.
